The experimental violinist GEORGE KENTROS studied at Yale University and the Mannes School of Music in the US as well as at the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm. He has performed extensively across Europe as well as in the US, Central America, Japan, and Australia, primarily with the new music ensemble “THE PEÄRLS BEFORE THE SWÏNE EXPERIENCE” and with MATTIAS PETERSSON in the electronic duo “THERE ARE NO MORE FOUR SEASONS”.

He has specialized in the newest of art music, and has to date commissioned more than 200 works from composers from 21 countries. He also founded the avantgarde art club SEKT, which was a pioneer in the realm of genre crossing alternative art expressions, and has since been on the boards of arts political societies as well as the Festival Sound of Stockholm, and the Swedish section of the International Society of Contemporary Music. In 2004 he was named one of Sweden’s 24 ”Arts idols” by the afternoon paper Expressen.

JOEL VINSEN is a guitarist, composer and improviser, based in Auckland, New Zealand. His style of playing as been described as possessing ‘equal parts respect and contempt’. VISEN performs solo, and the groups including PANHANDLERS, BABY TOOK MY DINGO/PLASTIC SHEEP, SPIRAL, and IJEBU PLEASURE CLUB, and is an regular feature at Vitamin S (Auckland’s collective of improvising musicians).
