Georgina Brett – Tripping the Edge, In-summoning-Between
Brett’s practice explores how the material base of art practice interconnects with making and meaning. The work examines modes of research as evidence within an art practice by considering a form of ‘study’ as a material dialogue between enquires and making; perception as a synthesis of the process between and cognitive analysis and visceral experience.

Rachel Shearer – Fakerie
I work mostly in audio – sound installation and music for films have been the main creative outputs in the last few years. I also sometimes make moving image work which is usually marked by it’s overlap with sound. “Fakerie” was made in 2005. It was an experiment in providing meditative visuals that would facilitate a focus on the details of the sound. It was an investigation into sound being a medium that allows the intersection and overlaying of scientific and esoteric perceptions.
