Selective Yellow is an experimental electronic duo from Wellington. James Noble (The Doubtful Sounds) and Chris Wilson (Gold Medal Famous) founded Selective Yellow in February 2014 as a way to explore sound textures and evolving forms. They use a selection of analogue and digital synthesis, including a Noise Toaster and a theremin.
Selective Yellow create semi-improvised pieces usually around 40 minutes long. Their performance is the Audio Foundation in Auckland is their debut show. The sounds will be accompanied by visuals the are responsive to the music being produced.
