BAD LUCK: SPOOKY SPOKEN WORD FOR LUNCH FRIDAY 13TH!
John S. Hall (King Missile IV)
with
Tourettes
Maria Ji
and Hannah-Rose Owen-Wright
John S. Hall is a world-renowned performance poet, and the frontman of legendary New York band King Missile IV. His work follows along his musical style; dry, wry narration of songs rather than singing, subject matter ranging from satirical to absurd. He has featured on HBO’s Def Jam Poetry series with his viciously funny work America Kicks Ass and has been a guest of slams across the USA.
Before King Missile IV takes off to play Woodcock Festival in Tauranga, Splice and Powertool Records are taking the opportunity to get John S. Hall to perform a one-off spoken word show during a lunch-break on Friday February 13.
Supported by fellow poets Maria Ji and Hannah-Rose Owen Wright, and local know-it-all legend Tourettes, the show takes place from 12.30-1.30pm Friday 13th February at the Audio Foundation.
Each poet will bring something formed out of the theme of creepiness in omens, the macabre, and lunch.
$10 on the door.
