Thomas Lambert (aka i.ryoko) is a multi-instrumentalist with a focus on synth, voice, guitar, drums and violin. As a member of several musical projects including i.ryoko, Seth Frightening and Skyburial (an ambient/noise/rock trio), he has performed many live shows around New Zealand (and some in Australia) and supported artists the likes of Low, The Books, Jonsi, Grizzly Bear, Eric Copeland, Ilios, Leighton Craigand Hildur Gudnadottir, among others.
Thomas Lambert has recorded solo under the the name i.ryoko, releasing two albums ‘Sacred Space (2013)’ and ‘Rarities (2007-2011)’ (2013). He has produced commissioned works for Jack Body and sound design for numerous theatre and short-film works. Lambert has a Bachelor of Music at NZSM (Sonic Arts & Instrumental Composition) and a Diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production at MAINZ. Beginning with the post punk rock trio Thela and moving through White Winged Moth and into his solo recordings, Dean Roberts has marked himself as a guitarist of unique talents.
Through arrangement, processing and editing Dean Roberts has crafted out rock that presents listeners with familiar forms as it challenges them with oblique gestures.
Seth Frightening is: Sean Kelly, summoner of catchy tunes and rusty ethereal psychedelic sonic explorations. Currently based in Wellington, NZ.
