Duo Duodenum – Ro Rushton-Green & Genevieve Davidson – 15/07/2023

DUOPOSTER

Audio Foundation presents Duo Duodenum – the saxophone duo of Ro Rushton-Green & Genevieve Davidson
Duo Duodenum has been patiently digesting new and forgotten music for saxophone. In response to acidic and fatty stimuli, Duo Duodenum is now ready to emit its bile creations for collective digestion and further excretion.

The duo will perform improvised music and the following pieces: Knabbenduett by Karlheinz Stockhausen, Konzertstück für Zwei Altsaxophone by Paul Hindemith, Lied Ohne Name by Igor Stravinsky and Ximix by François Rossé.

Ro Rushton-Green is a multi-instrumentalist based in Dunedin. A consummate performer on violin, saxophones and voice Ro is a member of numerous bands including Sewage, Shape of a Mouth (with Hermione Johnson), Kro-Moon (with Kraus), Superstarz and more.

Genevieve Davidson is also from Dunedin, now based in Tāmaki studying jazz at Auckland University, having previously studied classical saxophone at Otago University and the NZSM in Wellington. Genevieve has performed with various chamber music groups including SMP Ensemble, Saxcess Quartet, Trade Winds (Febriani Idrus) and Duo Eolienne (Michelle Velvin).
