Saxophonist, throat singer, painter and composer Arrington de Dionyso conjures Utopic Spaces with multiphonic vocal work & minimalist instrumentation. It’s shamanic seance meets rock and roll ecstasy; “TRANCE PUNK” combining traditional ritual trance, electrified experimental approaches, dancehall rhythms, gamelan scales and mystically inspired Indonesian incantations. Shocking and hallucinatory, Arrington de Dionyso brings the magic to New Zealand for the first time, playing solo and with local musical maestros.
At the Audio Foundation Arrington will perform solo and with:
Phill Dryson – electric guitar
Paul Buckton – electric guitar
Eamon Edmundsen-Wells – bass
Chris O’Connor – drums
Joe McCallum – drums
and special guests!
