Cunce is life. Cunce is death. Cunce is a reflection. Cunce is the leech that you love to hate.
As the experimental side of James Barrett’s musical output, best known for his work producing and DJing pumping techno as Keepsakes, Cunce has largely existed within the realm of various studio drone and noise experiments. Initially roused by the opportunity to produce backing music for Berlin-based artist August Skipper’s spoken-word rendition of his book ‘Notes From A Pandemic’ in the tumultuous year of 2020, which saw release on Instruments Of Discipline, Cunce is now bringing his murky live renditions to the stage.
With improvised drone soundscapes and caustic rants, minimalistic tom and conga patterns, and screeching looped synth sequences Cunce espouses his current phase in the project titled ‘A Love Letter To Leeches’.

Samara Alofa a.k.a GALOLEAFI is a Producer, Artist and Composer based in Tamaki Makuarau, Aotearoa. Samara is known for their trance vocals and abstract storytelling, they express themselves through ambient and emotive soundscapes blended in with Samples of ancient chants and song-lines of their mixed Indigenous heritage.
