Thursday Sep 13th, 8 pm, $5
Rachel Shearer’s history in the overlapping sound practices of experimental music, sound art and post-production audio for film all contribute to her approach to sound making. Through exploring the texture and textuality inherent in acoustic productions and the manipulation of digital audio, she presents sound as landscapes and sculptural forms. On occasion voice and deconstructed songs might present themselves. Active as an experimental musician since the late 1980’s, Rachel has released material with labels Xpressway (NZ), Flying Nun (NZ), Ecstatic Peace (US), Corpus Hermeticum (NZ), Family Vineyard (US) among others
Meg and Mog is the new band of Angeline Chirnside and Hunter Moon. Expect extended play of familiar songs. Angeline has been in heaps of other bands such as It Hurts, Currer Bells, P.U.S.H. and used to play solo as Jane Austen.
