Jim Murphy and Dugal McKinnon introduce Temporal Fictions, an installation exploring how we see and hear time’s passing. The work features seven kinetic sound sculptures that resemble clocks, each sounding at its own pace, interwoven with generative and synthesised audio. As these rhythmic textures drift in and out of sync, they create shifting sonic patterns – which move between order, chaos, and surprise. The artists will discuss how these interactions turn mechanical movement into a living soundscape, as well as how the project was conceived and realised.
