Audio Foundation and M.E.L. Auckland (Musical Electronics Library) are happy to present the second in our ongoing workshop series!

Please come down to AF on Sunday 24 July at 1.00pm to assemble your very own electronic drum pad, the Badonkadonk! The Badonkadonk is a simple and fun electronic drum! It goes *bong!* like a tuned tom (think early Kraftwerk), with pitch and decay controls.

M.E.L.’s Brett Ryan, Badonkadonk inventor and electronic wizard, will be on hand to guide you through this process. This workshop is open to people of all ages, and if you don’t already know how to solder, we can teach you.

In making your own Badonkadonk, you will:
– Become familiar with common components used in all electronic devices.
– Learn about the piezo electric effect and harness it to trigger your electronic drum.
– Make some retro/future drum sounds!

Sunday 24 July @ Audio Foundation, 1.00pm.
$50 (cash only) per person to cover the cost of materials!

Numbers strictly limited, booking essential.
