Psychedelic analogue-futurist Kraus returns to the Audio Foundation to celebrate the release of his 18th album, the stunning electronic tour-de-force “A Golden Brain”, with support from Old Chips, the sublime ambience of Amelia Berry.

“Aotearoa/New Zealand instrumental producer Kraus is back with a new album A Golden Brain, a scorching hot firecracker that sets the controls for the heart of somewhere between the outer limits and the Bermuda Triangle.”

“I have never heard one dunger from Kraus, and here, his space-fried freakbeat micro-ragas are as hypnotic and alluring as ever. A Golden Brain is instantly hooky and familiar but radically singular and blazingly new.”

“These pieces burn deep into your psyche and will hum and melt inside your head like a fever dream while you sleep. Kraus majestically brings together synths, guitar, bass, tape loops, sampler and percussion with a kind of alchemical juju. These pieces of scrunched up space junk, arcane mangled library music, mutant folk and medieval futurism will leave you scratching your head, wondering how he does it. “
