Based in Lichtenberg, the diverse activities of Cashmere Radio seek to preserve and further radio and broadcasting practices in what they describe as a playful approach to the plasticity and malleability of the medium, both honouring and challenging its inherent qualities.
Cashmere Radio is both an online and physical radio station which under the umbrella ‘Chronopolis’ presents algorithmic and generative pieces at monthly intervals, in addition to extended one-off events as well as programming within radio’s typical durational bounds. As a physical broadcasting location, Cashmere Radio is also a regular venue, hosting concerts and installations.
