Zak Argabrite

Zak Argabrite presents a new solo performance combining low saxophones and clarinets with the sounds of junk electronics through no-input mixing.

Zak Argabrite is a multi-disciplinary artist from Kentucky based in Te-Whanganui-a-tara by way of Lenapehoking (NYC). Zak’s practice spans woodwind explorations, improvisation, notated works for soloists, orchestral, big band and theatrical settings, and live audiovisual performance. One of Zak’s most longstanding creative interests has been in the world of discarded electronics and circuit-bending. In addition to the rich sonic and visual possibilities these materials hold, Zak’s interest in these materials aims to explore what kinship relationships electronic technology has with people and land.
