We are pleased to invite you to enter the Wheke Fortress, an exhibition of graphic works, sculpture, projection, mixed media and apparel by NZ artist, Tokerau Wilson.
Wilson is a longtime improvising musician, artist, and curator of the Māori Pasifika Goth Contemporary Exhibitions. He has recently worked on Aroha Bridge as Assistant Animator, as well as traveling to Rarotonga, Hawai’i and Samoa. He is currently putting together the worlds first Experimental Māori Pasifika sound series.
Tokerau works to create platforms and increase visibility for Māori and Pasifika artists whose work falls outside the realm of purely traditional forms.
