Please join us to celebrate the opening of Four Speakers, a new exhibition by Jesse Austin-Stewart.

4 Swinging Speakers is an audio installation work for four hung loudspeakers. The work breaks down the idea of a ‘sweet spot’ listening position and encourages listeners to engage with the work by moving throughout the space and swinging the speakers themselves. This installation attempts to break down barriers to engagement to spatial audio experiences through removing a preferred listening position and utilising more financially accessible technology.

Biography:
Jesse Austin-Stewart is a Pōneke-based sonic artist who focuses on spatial sound. He is currently working on his PhD at Massey University researching ways to break down barriers to engagement to spatial audio.
