The Audio Foundation is open with physical-distancing and contact tracing guidelines in place and a commitment to hosting events safely for all in attendance.

As ever, we can be reached via email at

The 2020 iteration of the Audio Foundation festival has been announced! The full line-up & event information for NOW HEAR THIS! can be found on the AF website. With +70 acts performing at venues around Tāmaki Makaurau from 13 – 18 October, audiences are sure to find something challenging and heretofore unheard during this celebration of adventurous and avant-garde sonic-art.

The Fluid Borders exhibition can be seen in the AF Gallery until 3 October with works by a range of artist for purchase. To keep fellow patrons and AF staff safe while you view this exhibition, please observe physical distancing (2m) and wear a face covering while on AF premises, and record your name and contact details as you enter the gallery (either using the COVID 19 tracer app, or the list at the door). The final event in association with Fluid Borders will take place this Friday: Citacsy D, Lucas + more.

The Musical Electronics Library is open on Saturdays, with those same guidelines around distancing and contact tracing.

If you are unwell, please stay at home and contact your GP.

Our programming will continue adapting to the situation, and as we move down Alert Levels we will continue to observe the advice and information coming from Creative New Zealand and the Government and encourage you to do the same at the links below.

Please continue to think of and care for each other exercising caution and empathy.
