With physical-distancing encouraged contact tracing mechanisms in place mechanisms in place, we are committed to hosting events safely for all in attendance. We are grateful to be open and are working in line with recommendations from the Ministry of Health / Creative New Zealand.

A reminder to please observe physical distancing (2m), consider wearing a face covering while you attend events at AF, and to record your name and contact details as you enter the space (either using the COVID 19 tracer app, or the list at the door). Hand sanitiser is also available at the door.

This week’s events begin with a continuation of the AF / Wine Cellar Concert Series with performances by Vor-Stellen & Horror In Clay on Wednesday 25 November. On the following Friday (27 November) we host an evening of monolithic, abstracted and ornate electronic music featuring Rachel Shearer, K-Group, Richard Francis, Rosy Parlane. In the afternoon on Saturday 28 November, we host Women About Sound for a sold out guitar pedal building workshop.

We are also preparing for Pique Plastique, a series of concerts organised in Te Whanganui-a-Tara in collaboration with our associates in sound, The Pyramid Club, which runs from 10 – 12 December! These events will include performances by Ro Rushton Green / Isaac Smith / Rosie Langabeer, Oghum, Samara Alofa / Ruby Solly, Citacsy D, Ro Rushton-Green / Daniel Beban, Blood Mothers, crone, Native Bush, and crone. Events will continue at AF in December (check the programme below)!
