
The Audio Foundation invites proposals from artists, writers, musicians, and interdisciplinary practitioners for presentation through one of our key platforms. Applicants may propose work for any one of the following:
Soundbleed
Soundbleed is the Audio Foundation’s online journal dedicated to writing on sound and sonic practice. We welcome:
Critical essays, creative texts, and experimental writing.
Reviews, interviews, and reflections on sonic culture.
Hybrid and cross-genre approaches to writing about sound.
AFM
AFM is the Audio Foundation’s online radio station, broadcasting adventurous and experimental audio from Aotearoa and beyond. We welcome:
Radio shows, mixes, interviews, or live sessions.
Experimental audio works, soundscapes, or radiophonic pieces.
Collaborative or thematic programming proposals.
The Audio Foundation Gallery Programme
The Gallery Programme presents sound-based and cross-disciplinary art in the Audio Foundation’s exhibition space. We welcome:
Installations and exhibitions engaging sound in innovative ways.
Performance, participatory, or hybrid projects.
Solo or group proposals that expand the possibilities of sound in a gallery context.
How to Apply
Please submit:
A one-page project description outlining your concept and chosen platform.
A short bio or CV (for each participant).
Up to 5 supporting materials (images, audio/video links, or documentation of previous work).
Send your proposal to admin@audiofoundation.org.nz with the subject line: Proposal – [Chosen Platform].
