From inspiration to execution, this workshop is designed to help women discover their own sound, guiding them through the technological process to develop their ideas into a unique body of work.
This workshop will cultivate a supportive, fun, accessible environment for women in which to start writing and recording their own electronic music. No prior experience is necessary.
Sarah Kelleher aka Misfit Mod, released her debut album Islands + Islands in 2013. Her work has been featured by Interview Magazine, Under the Radar, the BBC and MTV’s Iggy voted her as one of the ’7 New Zealand Bands that Deserve a Big Breakthrough’. Also an audio engineer and lecturer, Sarah has also worked as a Lecturer at the School of Audio Engineering in London and Oxford, U.K.

– Getting started
– Equipment and software options
– Setting up your own workstation
– Constructing simple loops, beats and tracks
– The mixing process
– Creating an excellent sound
