Sunday 9 August, 2pm — meet at Audio Foundation

Dutch artists Mario van Horrik and Petra Dubach present a subtle, site-specific performance for music box aboard Auckland Transport’s 106 bus. Departing the city and looping through Freeman’s Bay before returning to its starting point, the performance unfolds quietly amid the everyday motion of the route.

The music itself is drawn from scores derived from local public transport timetables, translated into the small, delicate mechanism of a music box.

This is an intimate work with limited capacity. Audience members will meet at Audio Foundation at 2pm and walk together to the bus stop.
