Ex-Partner returns with their debut album Lore-Core, an eight-track blitz of dense, textural landscapes crashing into Tony Drent’s fragile, distinctly Aotearoan voice, a union which frequently degenerates into lush, dream-like scenes resembling a Safdie brothers film soundtrack or a lost microgenre of the Bloghouse era.
In the debut performance of this lineup, Ex-Partner will be joined by Eleanor Haydn (Centre Negative) and Paul Brown (Horror in Clay) and playing support will be Studfinder and Power Nap. There will also be visuals provided courtesy of Job Club.

Their work is influenced by the moodier textures within experimental, electronic and post-punk music and embraces strong melodies and witty lyrics.
