http://www.involve.co.nz/
Involve records has released material from a diverse group
of artists. They range in age, experiences and outlook, but
somehow share a similar sound. Words often fail to explain
the range of emotions music inspires, but if one could be
used to encapsulate the sound it is 'ambisonics'. Future releases
from Involve are set to further test the boundaries between
indie pop and electronica, from the beautifully simple guitar
drifts of Slow Moe to the equally affecting electronica indie
of Voicechanger.

ArchHill
Recordings
Arch Hill Recordings is a record label, a recording studio
and a bunch of other creative kinds of enterprises. If we
have to put a name on it, which I guess wed rather not, the
genre we are most closely associated with is NZ indie pop/rock.
Bands on Arch Hill Recordings usually tend to like music that
manages to combine a great sparkling tune with something a
bit different; like a few left-of-center experimental tricks,
sonic inventions or perhaps just some plain whacked out weirdness
Arch Hill Recordings acts include Pine, David Kilgour, Fang,
Ghostplane, David Mulcahy, Lanky, Red Drum, Dappled Cities
Fly and Ben & Greta.
Hertz
Records
Hertz Records has been set up in response to the large number
of artists, bands, etc in New Zealand‰who are self releasing
material..This material may be on lathe-cut acetate,home-burnt

circulates through friends,or is available at the bands/or
artists gigs, with no real centralised collection point. Hertz
Records will try to be that collection point. It is a non-profit
site where you can buy and sell such recordings. The musicians
represented will have one main thing in common : that they
are all promoting self-funded and/or self released work.

INTERNATIONAL
www.sigmaeditions.com
Sigma Editions was founded in 1998 by Rosy Parlane and Dion
Workman. Parlane and Workman began working together in New
Zealand in 1993 as the improvising trio Thela with Dean Roberts.
After moving to Melbourne, Australia in 1997 the pair decided
to launch a label to release their own work and the work of
new artists they admired. The name sigma refers to Scottish/Italian
writer Alexander Trocchi's plan for a utopian international
artistic/political community. In 1999 the label relocated
to Rotterdam, the Netherlands and in 2000 to London, UK. Sigma
Editions is currently based in New York and continues to release
new experimental music.
