Clock- Sol Rezza- 2009

"I do nothing, it is true. But I spend hours-which is better than trying to fill"

“Clock”(or time to fit in a watch) is a piece of radio art/experimental radio that arises from several readings, on one hand the well known book "Matter and Memory" by the French philosopher Henri Bergson; book that has inspired many artists in different eras, such as Eadweard Muybridge and his obsession with photography in the 1870s movement. On the other hand the works of Giacomo Balla and his painting in motion, as well as the history of the different philosophical approaches about time and humans.

“Clock” is an experimental radio piece in which I tried to establish a meeting between the radio listener and consciousness of time through simple sounds from paper, human breath, the sound of a clock and rain soundscape.

This piece look forward to establish a path between technology and art applied to a mass media such as radio, through communication of feelings though the sounds, trying to go beyond verbal language. It proposes the use of ICTs in community media and thus the simplification of the methods of sound manipulation.

Imagine all, the exorbitant amount of things that can enter on a second; It might be possible through the sounds ...
