This is a festival with a focus on music that is exploring new area's in creating sound and musical expression and the community in Auckland making it.
We hope to encourage new musical interests and make it accessible to those interested in exploring the world though sound.

*From Wellington,Henderson is undoubtedly NZ,s most respected and important contemporary saxophonist.
He has contributed greatly to the advancement of NZ's fringe music communities by founding performance venues as the Space and Happy.
Jeff will be performing a solo improvised saxophone set..

*Recently setting up the Chinese Folk Instrument store, these two are masters of
traditional Chinese folk music. You are unlikely to have witnessed this music played by to such skilled artists of the Er'hu and dulcimer.We are very proud to have them included in the festival.

*Vitamin S is an institute of improvised music in Auckland.
They have been hosting a weekly improvised music performance evening every week. Now in its fourth year it is held at the Wine Cellar on Wednesday nights.

Their collective process yields exciting and challenging sonic performances. *an original angular three- piece unit from Wellington delivering its own intense fusion of freeform and math rock, drawing upon musical traditions such as punk rock, minimalism, mutant sibling of the traditional rock format.
